When Babies Get Sick

I'm a mom of four and I just turned 30. Pretty fast eh! Well, I'm happy that I have 4 lovely angels to take care of while I"m young.

I have always had a positive outlook with my family life. Simple things means a lot to me. Just the family being together and complete everyday already makes me feel very happy and content.

But this picture changes every time my children gets sick. Kids get sick every now and then. Some cough here, and some colds there. But these should not be taken for granted.

My 9-month old baby was just diagnosed with primary complex. She doesn't have colds. No cough or flu.
Before she was diagnosed with primary complex, she had bronchitis. First ever incident. Then we observed that she's not gaining weight though she's not sick. She's cured of her bronchitis and she eats well. But for a nine month old, she looks like 5 months. She's too small for her age.

So we brought her back to her pediatrician and he conducted a skin test. The skin test result was after 5 days. The lump measures 1.8 cm. The doctor then advised us to have an X-ray test on the baby. The X-ray result showed pneumonia.

It's quite confusing, true. But the doctor decided to treat our baby of primary complex than pneumonia. First, she's not gaining weight. Second, he felt a few nodes/lumps at the back of my babies neck. And third, she does not have colds nor cough. Doctor said primary complex weighs heavier than pneumonia.

We started her medication last month and she shows good progress. She moves around quickly now than before. And she seems to be happier. I am optimistic that we will be able to conquer this with the grace of God bestowed upon us.

I will continually update you guys with the progress of my child so you can learn from it. If ever it happens to you, then you know what to do. It pays to know things than be surprised because you don't know.
